Turning Big Ideas Into Real Impact on Michigan Avenue

The Michigan Avenue Corridor Improvement Authority (MACIA) is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse fueling the transformation of one of Lansing’s most iconic commercial corridors. Stretching from S. Larch St. to the city’s eastern limits, the Michigan Avenue Corridor connects neighborhoods, cities and opportunities — and MACIA helps ensure it lives up to its potential.

Tasked with driving economic development and revitalization, MACIA is all about turning big ideas into real impact. From supporting local businesses through a major street redesign to giving storefronts a much-needed glow up, the Authority keeps Michigan Avenue moving forward, even when the cones come out.

MACIA continues to support local businesses on the corridor during the extensive street redesign project. The Authority funded bold, directional signage to keep foot traffic flowing to businesses during construction, and is securing additional funding for its Block 2000 Façade Improvement effort.
