Preserving History, Inspiring Development

The Saginaw St. Corridor is a major west-east throughfare for the Lansing area, making it a key financial driver for the city. The Saginaw commercial corridor once served as a nexus between Lansing’s bustling downtown and nearby neighborhoods, including the Westside, Old Oakland, and Englewood Park neighborhoods.

Today, the Saginaw Street CIA works to maintain the integrity of the historical area while attracting new life through development efforts. The SSCIA has pursued various beautification efforts along the corridor, including art initiatives, landscaping at the corridor’s entrance, and marketing efforts. With the help of a local marketing firm, the SSCIA hopes to start promoting its corridor and its many assets.
